charcoal grill hello everyone and welcome to the graduation ceremony for Vista Diane pathway Independent Study High School class of 2021 my name is Ramon Enriquez and I'm the proud principal at Vista continuation and pathway Independence high school please remain standing as our graduates into the processional music for The Anthem at this time I would like to call up one of our ASP Leaders Marine in the flag salute thank you mister Enrique's audience please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance graduates and guess please place your right hand over your heart face the flag ready begin I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice bra thank you please remain standing for the playing of the national anthem thank you you may be seated good evening once again as a principal of pathway Vista High School and I'll be happy for the Unified School District Board of Education the great students and faculty of Vista High School graduation ceremony before we continue our four let me take a moment to introduce Our Guest from Lynwood Unified School District Board of Education we have President Maria G Lopez member Gary Hardy Junior member of the arrows and our superintendent Dr go to Yale cross from The Lynwood Unified School District assistant superintendent of Educational Services dr. Shawna Dinkins assistant superintendent of Human Resources dr. Brian Lucas assistant superintendent of Technology & Innovation Dr Patrick Geddes director of secondary education Christine arrested Manson we also have direct this year from The Lynwood Unified School District please stand and wave to the crowd ESV president's speech good afternoon dearest. Family friends and graduate congratulations class of 2021 it is an honor be speaking with you here today my name is Natalie. I want to see and it is an honor to be here as a president at the 2021 Vista and pathway graduation ceremony I am into this piece was even harder passing all my classes and believe me when I say it was harder than that just kidding I'm in school I have gone through lots of obstacles and never thought would be standing here today but with the support of Staff inside they show me that anything is possible as I was writing my speech and reflecting on my experience I Vista High School I know that it was one of the best things that ever happened to me during the past few years at Vista the support from staff teachers going to have been anything but the best I wouldn't be here without them I personally want to thank mr. Enriquez for being nothing but the very best and pushing our class through these hard times and making the best out of the school also I want to thank mr. Ramos mr. Luna di Gomez mr. Medrano and Maria who have been great support and I want to give a special thank you to Hilda for always being One Call Away and for all your support also I want to give a round of applause to all our parents for their support and guidance during these difficult times without you we wouldn't be able to accomplish this dear Mom despite how difficult it was for you to raise three kids all on your own you still managed to push and encourage me and here I am standing today thank you for always believing in me I will forever be grateful for everything you've done for me and I am so happy you are here to witness my graduation once again congratulations to the class of 2021 it is time to celebrate this accomplishment this past year has been a life experience and overcoming this pandemic has proven to us that we can accomplish anything in life congratulations now please welcome back first and foremost Enrique once again good afternoon parents 1 what a year has it been I think we all agree that this last school year has indeed been one for the history books as we continue to recover from one of the most difficult situations in modern Global times teachers were removed from their comfort zones and challenge to teach and you innovative ways parents became teachers and homes became classrooms students were forced to push themselves to their scholarly limits sitting behind the computer monitor 4K hours and remote learning all this while many of our families juggle the financial hardships for others mourn the loss of loved ones indeed it has been a challenging year but we will continue to get through this together we are so with this said I know like I like to acknowledge the Vista and pathway staff for the hard work and dedication to work towards our Scholars I don't know lives on hold in order to best support our students during these difficult times and for that I am forever grateful I would like to acknowledge all the parents and the gardens without your support our Scholars will not be here celebrating this milestone 51 Ronald place for all the families that are here in support thank you for Amelia thank you parents we also like to acknowledge everybody that's watching us in live stream we understand that many of you guys couldn't make it because of the distance All Because Of The Limited capacity but we do not forget you and thank you for also being supportive and last but not least I wanted to acknowledge the most diligent group of Scholars I have ever had the privilege of serving the class of 2021 you all continue to remind me that no matter how tough things may get all is possible with some hard work and some dedication no I can't promise things are going to get easier once we return to the new normal but I have no doubt that you will often see to strive and overcome obstacles one thing I have learned from you all is how resilient the Leeward Community is again please give yourselves a round of applause despite what the pain. I couldn't ignore how many of you are already hard and buy some of your own personal obstacles and hardships you were already in during during the pandemic yet you still continue to work on achieving your academic and personal aspirations when others gave up for fear of falling or breaking under pressure one of my favorite actor is Denzel Washington say it is when he stated best that one should not be afraid of falling as long as you do not fall back but it is okay to fall forward have our fair share of hardships and we to get scared of falling or become uncomfortable with the precious life rings but always remember this diamonds are formed under pressure today you deserve to be celebrated for you dedication and perseverance and it's your time to shine your compliment today also tells me a lot about your character dr. Martin Luther King the ultimate measure of a person not where she stands in the moment of comfort and convenience but where the times of Challenge and controversy today you have overcome some of the most difficult challenges you have you and all of you stand in front as Scholars of Lynwood Unified School District but most importantly the graduating class of 2021 congratulations Scholars I have two strollers this afternoon that I would like to bring up to the stage and honor them for their accomplishments and dedication to education like so many of our Scholars doing that today these two students have overcome several close throughout their life dies from Vista High School okay hello and then you miss everything so greetings I feel a great honor to have been chosen to speak for you up before you off today I am truly blessed to walk the stage with all my fellow graduates we reached a great level of accomplishment and we talked it out and now we're leaving here champions however we're not done how to put back on the gloves and get back in the ring I know 2020 has been a record year of our lives but time I've gone and my condolences and my prayers goes out to all the families we have lost and loved one but today we stand here strong we stand together and you must go on and ask your dreams and passions and goes and going forward I would like to so I'm a graduate today calculations stay safe and God bless and all the teachers staff coaches security and maintenance I would like thank you and I appreciate all you have done for the time at Vista High School keeping it safe clean as occasionally to visit students in class 2020-21 thank you and congratulations thank you a lot the owner of class valedictorian is awarded to the student with the highest grade point average in the graduating class our next speaker already began for post-secondary Education by attending Glendale Community College please tell me what are 2021 class valedictorian from pathway Crystal alvino sorry good afternoon parents teachers and distinguished guests and Castle 2021 my name is Krystal Reno and I want to share some words with you all I wasn't expecting to be valedictorian but I am very honored to be up here and I tell you how excited I am to start this next chapter of my life as a Teenage single mother things are hard for me I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my life cuz I had a child at a very young age and besides that I was never the best student in school I sure will my grades and it felt like my life was out of control my mom is a huge inspiration for me because she pushed me to finish what I had to finish she made me the woman I am today so thank you Mom I also want to thank my brothers and teachers thank you some what is Justin Jason for giving me advice and being there for me most importantly my teacher mr. Ballinger thank you mr. manager for helping me and pushing me to get through this with hard work and determination I was able to accomplish since married so let this be testimony that I'm able to overcome obstacles as a single teenage mother so can I leave thank you and God bless you all and please welcome back principal and request thank you thank you Crystal let me know before we are presented diplomas to tonight's graduates I would like to take a moment to tell you a little about this year's graduates accomplishments you can find the names of the graduates in the graduation program denoted by special symbols three students have earned the Seal of biliteracy on their diploma on helicopter Dallas and Evelyn Pimentel this distinction by demonstrating a high level of proficiency in speaking reading and writing in one or more languages in addition to English these students will receive a special cylinder diploma congratulations to the California State University diploma recipients the Madison Memorial science award is a tradition at Vista High School in memory of one of our beloved Decatur's mr. LG Lamont Madison mr. majnu started the scholarship program in honor of his sister to Lana medicine for students they have shown Improvement in the areas of science his legacy lives on every year a staff members come together to donate to provide scholarships for the students this year 5 students were awarded the recipients of the medicine Brandon video Aragon esqueda Brian Hemphill and Vincent Webster congratulations to the Madison Memorial science award recipients the nudist Association of school administrators scholarship honor students who have honor students who have persevered and overcome challenges for the scholarship is now Eagle Award goes to present our selected based on their dedication to overcome obstacles again congratulations to all the students for their accomplishments in addition to give us a glimpse other plans this year so your survey tells us that night 96 of our graduates plan to attend a 2-year college with plans to transfer to a four-year College Compton College Glendale College Santa Monica Rolando Long Beach and Goldenwest three of our seniors will be attending trade schools including La Trade Tech and the universal Technical Institute u t i we also have two seizures in this thing in the arm forces that include the Navy and the Army students for their service congratulations to all the graduating seniors of the class of 2021 I would like to call Superintendent Dr Korean cross way to the podium for the presentation of the graduating class at the principal pathway school on behalf of the administration and faculty I hereby certify that today students have met the graduation requirements established by the Board of Education and are eligible for graduation from the little Unified School District I present to you all the students why I'm at the graduation requirements for the class 2021 thank you Miss Rodriguez good afternoon everyone when I saw this I'd like to ask are board members to join me as I accept the class mr. Gyros mr. Hardy and our board president mrs. Lopez class of 2021 we are extremely proud of you you have persevered and extremely difficult and challenging circumstances let's give the class of 2021 another big round of applause including their families mrs. Lopez mr. Hardy and mrs. I am pleased to present to you the pathway and Vista High School's class of 20 31 at this time we are going to dismiss our graduates to the softball field so faculty if he got assist in escorting our students back to the softball field due to the covid-19 covid-19 restrictions on campus and the constructions we will not allow the families and the graduates who congregated on the campus when you are. please watch your cars where you can wait for your graduate will begin our dismissal with section A and then section B students May wake your way to the softball section now download great job.
