On Dec. 14, Roosevelt Elementary students enjoyed a fun-filled event that included a breakfast with Santa, music, balloon decorations, gifts and an appearance from the newly elected Mayor of Lynwood, Oscar Flores.
Roosevelt Elementary administration and staff handed out waffles and hot chocolate while Santa danced alongside students.
Students also received holiday kits with goodies from the district and city, focused on learning and social-emotional wellness.
Additionally, the school’s PTA raised money to buy more than 800 toys for students to choose from at the end of the event.
