Reclassifications

A summary of the reclassification procedure for the Lynwood USD classified service is as follows below.

Reclassification requests will be reviewed by Classified Personnel only after the reclassification form has been filled out in its entirety and submitted to Classified Personnel.

In order for an incumbent to be reclassified within the position, the basis for the reclassification of the position must be the gradual accretion of duties and not a sudden change occasioned by a reorganization or the assignment of completely new duties and responsibilities. An employee who has been reclassified within his/her position shall be ineligible for subsequent reclassification within his/her position for a period of at least two years from the date of the prior reclassification action. Reclassification of a position or positions will not have a retroactive effect.
