Payroll

Pay Periods
Classified and non-classified employees working four hours or more per day (equaling twenty hours or more per week) will be paid on the 10th and 25th of each month. Classified and non-classified employees working LESS than four hours per day (equaling LESS than twenty hours or more per week) will be paid on the 10th of each month. All employees working summer assignments, regardless of hours worked, will receive paychecks on the 10th of each month.

Payroll is located on the second floor at the District Office. 

Salary Information
All new regular classified employees are paid in accordance with the salary range established for the class of which they are assigned. The hiring rate will normally be the first step of the salary range. 

Regardless of initial step placement, any employee hired or changing status on or before March 31st shall be entitled to a one step advancement on the salary range to be assigned on the following July 1st; not to exceed the top step of the salary range.Annual salary increments or step advancements, including super-maximums (longevity increments), are effective on the 1st day of July; until the maximum step has been attained. 

An employee who receives a promotion to a class allocated to a higher salary range will be placed on the first step of the new salary range that provides the employee with at least a 5% increase; not to exceed the top step (as indicated in the preceding paragraph) of the salary range to which assigned.
