Lynwood Unified Teachers, Families Set Course for Student Learning During Back to School Night

Lynwood Unified kicked off its Back to School Nights at Helen Keller, Mark Twain and Will Rogers elementary schools on Aug 30, providing parents and guardians with an engaging opportunity to get an inside look at their child’s academic journey for the upcoming school year.

Families explored resources and programs and engaged in refreshing activities, including food tastings at Helen Keller and Will Rogers, where they received mouth-watering samples of school breakfast and lunch menu items for the new year. Teachers also provided information on classroom and academic expectations to ensure each student is prepared with the necessary tools and resources to achieve their academic goals.

Back to School Nights at Lynwood Unified serve as a warm reminder of teachers’ and parents’ shared commitment to student success, provide an open space to collaborate and discuss the needs of students and are an exciting opportunity to showcase the unique program offerings of each school.

Families of the remaining schools will have the opportunity to bond with teachers, staff and administrators on Sept. 13 and on scheduled days during September, where they will tour campuses and gain insights into the curriculum and programs being offered for the 2023-24 school year.
