Respect - September
The ability to act in a way that shows you care about others feelings and well-being.
When students have respect for others they treat others with courtesy and dignity.
Responsibility - October
The ability to be accountable, dependable and take ownership. Students should be able to understand what responsibility is and demonstrate it in school, at home, and in the community.
Kindness – November
The ability to show compassion for all living things. Students should understand the meaning of kindness and given the opportunity to demonstrate kindness to others.
Honesty/Trustworthiness – December/January
The ability to be truthful in your actions and words, the ability to tell the truth. When you show that you are honest in your actions and words, others will consider you to be trustworthy and will know they can count on you.
Empathy – February
The ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Being able to identify with others in a compassionate understanding manner.
Civic Responsibility – March
The ability to be a productive, responsible, caring, and contributing member of society.
Effort – April
The ability to put forth all my energy to complete a task.
Perseverance – May
The ability to keep trying to do your best, use your mind to overcome challenges, and work through difficulties.
Fairness – June
The ability to treat people equitably using judgment that is free from discrimination and personal bias.
