Retiree- Information

LUSD provides 5 years of paid Medical, dental, and vision to employees that provided 10 years of service.  You must be enrolled in health benefits prior to retirement.  Calpers & Calstrs members pay their medical through automatic withdrawal from your retirement agency and in turn LUSD reimburses you through a third party, American Fidelity.

If you retire at age 65 or over, you are still eligible for 5 years of paid medical, but you must have Part A & B through medicare and your reimbursement can only be $200.00 per month, and your dental and vision to remain on LUSD plans paid by the retiree.
