Important Message on Student Safety from Lynwood Unified

On Thursday, October 10, 2019, there was a verbal altercation between two Lynwood High
students. A classroom teacher intervened and physically restrained one of the students. The District immediately removed the teacher from the classroom and contacted local law enforcement. The teacher remains on administrative leave while the district works closely with law enforcement to assist them in their thorough investigation. The Lynwood Unified School District does not condone physical violence in any form and takes this matter very seriously. We are fully committed to ensuring all of our schools are safe and secure learning environments for our students, families, and staff.
