Williams/Valenzuela Complaints

The Governing Board designates the following compliance officers to receive and investigate complaints and ensure district compliance with law in accordance with Williams and/or Valenzuela v. The State of California:


Initial complaints and complaints involving the following:

  • Instructional materials

 

  • Teacher vacancy or misassignment (AB 831 and Education Code 35186)

 

  • Facilities

 

should be directed to the following individual(s):

                    School Site Principal
                    School Site Address
                    School Site Phone Number


A complaint about problems beyond the authority of the school principal shall be forwarded in a timely manner, but not to exceed 10 working days, to the appropriate school district official for resolution.  A complaint alleging any deficiency specified in item #4 above shall be filed with a district official designated by the Superintendent.  Such complaints may be filed at the district office or at the school site and shall be immediately forwarded to the Superintendent or designee. Complaints of non-satisfactory response to aforementioned issues or previous complaints, complaints regarding site principals, and complaints involving non-school site issues should be directed to the following individuals(s):
